Rainton Meadows Photography Group

The Rainton Meadows Photography Group (RMPG) is an amateur wildlife photography group consisting of all levels of ability and interests.
RMPG  meets at Durham Wildlife Trust’s Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve near Houghton le Spring, Co. Durham.

The group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm. There is generally the opportunity to hear guest speakers talk on various aspects of photographic or wildlife interest.  We also share technical knowledge, compare cameras and discuss any recent outings.  In the summer months we will often explore the facilities that the reserve has to offer.

Rainton Meadows is one of the better places in central Durham to photograph a whole range of plants, butterflies, birds and dragonflies.  The biodiversity of the site is maintained through the dedicated work of DWT staff and volunteers.
