On behalf of the Wear Catchment Partnership, Durham Wildlife Trust is carrying out a consultation on what people think about the woods, parks, streams and greenspaces around Lumley Park Burn and what could be done to make them better for wildlife and people. This includes places like Herrington Country Park, Rainton Meadows, Hetton Lyons Country Park, Penshaw Woods and all the greenspaces in between.

Our long term plan, along with partners Sunderland Council, Durham County Council, Wear Rivers Trust, Groundwork North East & Cumbria, Northumbrian Water Ltd and the Environment Agency, is to seek a substantial funding package to deliver a large project over a number of years. The first stage is to find out what you think about and how you use the greenspaces close to where you live.

Please help us by completing this survey and have your opportunity to get involved in this exciting project around the Lumley Park Burn.
