15th October – Tree ID and woodcrafts
We will be learning about and identifying the trees which we have at our Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve, discovering their uses and folklore, as well as developing our woodcraft skills.
Monthly activities throughout the year to engage curious young minds and equip future nature scientists with the tools they need to enjoy, investigate and protect our world. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month from 12.30pm – 2.30pm, £4 per child. Activities are aimed at ages 11- 16 years. Booking is essential.
The sessions are delivered in line with the John Muir Award; throughout the year there will be opportunities to achieve the four elements of the award: discover, explore, conserve and share. Durham Wildlife Trust can administer your award for you for an additional £3/child.
