15th October – Terrific Trees
Join us for a tree hunt! We will be learning how to identify trees and discovering which trees live at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve. We will also learn how different parts of trees can be used, and will have a go a creating willow crafts and elder bead keepsakes.
Monthly activities throughout the year to engage curious young minds and equip future nature scientists with the tools they need to enjoy, investigate and protect our world. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month from 9.30am – 11.30am, £4 per child. Activities are aimed at ages 5- 10 years, children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing anf footwear. Booking is essential.
The sessions are delivered in line with the John Muir Award; throughout the year there will be opportunities to achieve the four elements of the award: discover, explore, conserve and share. Durham Wildlife Trust can administer your award for you for an additional £3/child.
