Join us for a tree hunt! We will be learning how to identify trees and discovering which trees live at Low Barns Nature Reserve. We will also learn how different parts of trees can be used, and will have a go a creating willow crafts and other keepsakes.
Monthly activities throughout the year to engage curious young minds and equip future nature scientists with the tools they need to enjoy, investigate and protect our world. We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the Month from 10.00am – 12.00pm, £4 per child. Activities are aimed at ages 5- 10 years, children must be accompanied by an adult, please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear. Booking is essential.
The sessions are delivered in line with the John Muir Award; throughout the year there will be opportunities to achieve the four elements of the award: discover, explore, conserve and share. Durham Wildlife Trust can administer your award for you for an additional £3/child.
