Discover the wonder of bees and butterflies and find out more about their important work in pollinating plants. We will be taking a walk around our reserve and identifying the beautiful ‘Things with Wings’ that we come across in our grassland habitats.
Monthly activities throughout the year to engage curious young minds and equip future nature scientists with the tools they need to enjoy, investigate and protect our world. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month from 9.30am– 11.30am, £4 per child. Activities are aimed at ages 5- 10 years, children don’t have to be accompanied by an adult, however please let us know if you are leaving your child with us unaccompanied.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Booking is essential.
The sessions are delivered in line with the John Muir Award; throughout the year there will be opportunities to achieve the four elements of the award: discover, explore, conserve and share. Durham Wildlife Trust can administer your award for you for an additional £3/child.
