Creative nature conservation in action to design some experimental bird boxes. This three day project is for 12 – 18 year olds to investigate how birds nest and how to design our own experimental bird boxes. The first day will involve a visit to Newcastle University School of Architecture for an insight into design processes. At the end of the project different ideas will be pulled together to create our Woodland Pioneers Bird Box to be installed at Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve.
