Not the usual course, our fabulous fourteen fundraisers hit the tarmac in a Great North Run like no other. For one year only the route of the Great North Run was changed, instead of its iconic South Shields finish line, runners headed out from Newcastle, and back again. That didn’t stop our team wild!
In total our runners raised more than £3800 for Durham Wildlife Trust. These vital funds enable to Trust to continue to look after our nature reserves, help to deliver environmental education to all ages and develop projects to protect threatened species and their habitats.
In 2022 the Trust will be entering ten runners in the return to the traditional Great North Run route, the race is on to get your name on the list for a place in the 2022 event. If you would like to find out more, contact mail@durhamwt.co.uk
