Whether you were one of the many eagle-eyed spotters who contributed to the 2019 survey, or you are just interested in the region’s wildlife, then this talk is for you. Durham Wildlife Trust Trustee and survey organiser, Michael Coates, will present the findings of the 387 surveys and over 3000 dragonfly sightings.
The talk will also include
• Identification tips
• Photos of strange behaviour (can you spot that in the photo?)
• Where best to see dragonflies
• The most common species
• The first and last sightings
• The ones we didn’t see but should have
• Plan for 2020 survey
Plus a gallery of some of the 1000+ photos that were submitted.
There will also be plenty of exuvia to examine and prizes for the best photos (various categories) and the most sightings submitted.
