Event details
About the event
This opportunity will see Durham Wildlife Trust (DWT) co-leading a session with St Nics to help develop the site for nature and establish a range of habitats.
The site at St Nics has undergone significant transformation over the last 18 months and DWT is working with St Nics to develop a tailored management plan for the site.
All volunteers are very welcome to help continue the regeneration of the site – this session will focus on clearing pathways and accessing resources for weaving path borders.
The session is designed to accommodate volunteers of all levels of experience and will be facilitated by members of Durham Wildlife Trust.
All sessions are fully resourced by St Nics and the Trust and will include training of appropriate tool use and ongoing explanations of the environmental benefits of the tasks and their ultimate aims.
Attendees must dress appropriately for outdoor tasks, and factor in the weather on the day. The task time includes a break for lunch.
