About the event

Scrub is an extremely valuable habitat and one on which many species depend for their survival. However, if left unmanaged, it can rapidly take over areas such as grassland and heathland.

We will be using loppers to cut scrub from the wet meadow at Low Barns Nature Reserve. Wellingtons are essential as the meadow is very wet!

Please wear weather suitable clothes. Gloves and equipment will be provided. This session will begin at 10am, we will have lunch at 12:00, then finish at 2pm.

Please bring a packed lunch and drink. Alternatively, food can be purchased at the cafe in Low Barns Visitor Centre, which serves a range of sandwiches, soup, paninis, scones and homemade cakes.
