September 2022, saw the Great North Run return to its traditional route, but it was a run like no other. Participants joined together at the start line to commemorate The Queen, then thousands of runners set off on the world-famous 13.1 mile route, to raise vital funds for charities across the country. A fitting tribute to a life of service.
The Trust would like to say a huge thank you to the wonderful team of Durham Wildlife Trust Great North Runners. Not only did they take on a big personal challenge, but through their fundraising they are also doing amazing and important things for the natural world in the North East. We are extremely thankful for their efforts.
