We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the Community Engagement category, for the exceptional work that we deliver across the North East, providing a positive impact to communities with our range of projects, including the engagement work we are delivering through our project at Cuthbert's Moor, which was kindly funded by ScottishPower Foundation.
Trust nominated for ScottishPower Foundation Award
There are four ScottishPower Foundation Award categories: Charity Champion, Community Engagement, Education and Innovation. The shortlisted charities were all funded by the ScottishPower Foundation in 2023 and category winners will receive a further £10,000 to support their vital work, with runners-up taking home £5,000.
More than £12 million has been awarded to charities by the ScottishPower Foundation since it was established in 2013.
Melanie Hill, Executive Officer and Trustee at the ScottishPower Foundation, said: “As we enter the tenth year of supporting registered charities across the UK, what has become increasingly clear to us is the real-world value of the vital charities that are supporting people and communities across the country.
“This year’s shortlisted finalists are inspiring real difference through their work and are cornerstone examples of the positive impact our Foundation funding can make.
“I’m looking forward to celebrating the achievements of our finalists – and the ScottishPower Foundation – on Awards Day later this month.”
Charlotte Gardener from Durham Wildlife Trust, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted by the ScottishPower Foundation for the Community Engagement Award.”
