The Trust was delighted to host many of its wonderful volunteers at a celebration event in Durham on 10th December, 2024.
The event began with presentations from Chair of Trustees, Sarah Lister, Trust Director Jim Cokill and Chief Executive of The Wildlife Trusts, Craig Bennett. The three presenters shared a review of work of the past year both locally and across the Wildlife Trusts movement, as well as details about future plans and ambitions.
Once again the incredible community of Durham Wildlife Trust volunteers has made an outstanding contribution during 2024. This year, volunteers have devoted more than 27,985 of their time, which is equivalent to 5075 days. This remarkable dedication allows the Trust to create a lasting impact for nature across the North East. The generosity and passion shown by more than 370 individuals highlights the power of collective action in driving meaningful change.
