Tracks and Trails: What’s out and about at Rainton Meadows?
This month we will be heading out to look for animal tracks and other clues and evidence of wildlife, as well as setting up a mammal camera trap so that we can see what’s roaming around in quieter areas of the reserve.
Monthly activities throughout the year to engage curious young minds and equip future nature scientists with the tools they need to enjoy, investigate and protect our world. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the Month from 12.30pm– 2.30pm, £4 per child. Activities are aimed at ages 11- 16 years, children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. Booking is essential.
The sessions are delivered in line with the John Muir Award; throughout the year there will be opportunities to achieve the four elements of the award: discover, explore, conserve and share. Durham Wildlife Trust can administer your award for you for an additional £3/child.
