Low Barns Nature Reserve and Visitor Centre
Low Ln, Bishop Auckland DL14 0AG
Join us for some ‘Balsam Bashing’ and volunteer for wildlife this summer. Himalayan Balsam may look nice but it’s actually a very invasive and destructive plant and we’d like your help to remove it from our reserve. No special equipment is required beyond sturdy footwear and gloves, although some people do find wielding a stick to be therapeutic! Suitable for adults and children.
Morning and afternoon sessions available, either come for one or stay for the day (bring a packed lunch): 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm
Booking is preferred, please click on the green ‘register’ button above.
