Another chance to brush up on your trees before buds start to open and an ideal opportunity to learn if you are a complete beginner. We will walk around the reserve to identify common trees, using all the features on show at this time of year. Then you can track the development of the trees through spring and summer to confirm your identification with the addition of leaves, flowers and fruit. You’ll need a hand lens (or you can borrow one on the day), a note pad and any identification guides you have (again there will be some to share on the day).
We will be a walking along the tracks, so strong footwear is needed and dress according to the weather forecast – it could be cold. Bring a hot drink and food, or take advantage of the excellent cafe on site. If you wish to attend please confirm by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
