In October 2022 Durham, Tees Valley and Northumberland Wildlife Trusts secured funding from the South Tyneside Council led Stronger Shores partnership to deliver an exciting engagement and events programme working with multiple partners from Northumberland to Yorkshire.
Stronger Shores aims to understand how kelp, seagrass and native oyster habitats reduce the impacts of coastal erosion, flood risk and climate change. Over the next five years a range of partners will trial innovative methods for monitoring, modelling and protecting these specialist habitats, then develop strategies to use them as nature-based-solutions to help combat these coastal challenges.
The Documentary Contractor will be responsible for capturing key moments and events in this programme, generating visual story telling materials to engage key audiences.
