The Trust was delighted to welcome staff from Bowmer and Kirkland along to Rainton Meadows Nature Reserve today (17 September) for a grand re-opening of the on-site bird hide.
The hide, which had fallen into disrepair over years of use, was closed for two weeks during which it was completely refurbished by a team from the construction group. Work included: rendering, a replacement floor, removal of concrete seating and installation of new custom-made furniture, refreshed painting, new windows and frames, plus a freshly painted door and handrail.
